Come out for a pint or two to whet your political appetite with a mix of musicians, artists and City Council hopefuls. The evening will feature the Candidates for VISION, COPE, NPA and INDEPENDENTS in an intimate atmosphere. While Get Your Vote On will be engaging your minds in this event, we have also made arrangements to have your heart and soul happy. We are lucky to have the very talented Barbra Adler (of FANG! and the BC Memory Game) with us!

‘SPEED-DATING’ CHALLENGE

Before the debate, the candidates will be circulating booth-to-booth sitting with different folks and fielding the questions of individual voters (YOU!) in an intimate conversational context in the cosy confines of the booths at the Biltmore Cabaret. This session is designed to give attendees and City Hall hopefuls the opportunity to really connect face-to-face with the people they hope to represent at City Hall. Every 5 minutes the issue of discussion changes and the candidate switches tables to the next booth. Pretty cool, eh?

Vancouver votes on SATURDAY, Nov 19, 2011. Young folks want to know where the parties stand on issues that matter to them. What better way than to ask them in front of many people? Mo Dhaliwal will be hosting a friendly and fair question-answer format debate where questions will be fielded from the floor and from invited people in the community.
